Your privacy is critically important to us. At ZenStack, we have a few fundamental principles:

• We are thoughtful about the personal information we ask you to provide and the personal information that we collect about you through the operation of our services.
• We store personal information for only as long as we have a reason to keep it.
• We aim for full transparency on how we gather, use, and share your personal information.

This Privacy Policy applies to the ZenStack Chrome Extension ("the Extension").

1. Information We Collect

ZenStack is designed to be privacy-first. We do not track your browsing history or collect the content of your bookmarks.

Information You Provide to Us

• Pro Subscription: If you choose to upgrade to ZenStack Pro, we will collect your **email address**. This is done securely via the `chrome.identity` API and is used for the sole purpose of creating and managing your subscription account.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

• Bookmarks & Boards: All your bookmarks, board configurations, and column layouts are managed through the native Chrome Bookmarks API. This data resides on your local machine and is synced with your Google Account, not our servers. We do not have access to this information.
• Extension Settings: Your preferences, such as theme choice (Dark/Light Mode), background settings, card density, and stock tickers, are stored locally on your device using the `chrome.storage` API.

Information Sent to Third-Party Services

Some optional features fetch live data from third-party services. Only the minimum needed to serve the feature is sent — never your bookmarks, browsing history, or identity:

• Stock Quotes (Yahoo Finance): If you use stock watchlists or the portfolio tracker, the ticker symbols you choose are sent to Yahoo Finance to fetch live prices, sparklines, and exchange rates.
• Images (Unsplash & our CDN): Wallpapers, Zen Mode, and Zen Photos backgrounds are loaded from Unsplash and our image hosting. These are standard image requests and carry no personal data.
• Web Search (your default engine): Searches from the optional Classic Home page are submitted through Chrome's built-in search API to whatever search engine you have configured in Chrome. We never see or log your queries.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

• To Provide Our Services: To create and manage your Pro account, verify your subscription status, and process payments through our third-party payment processor.
• To Communicate with You: We may use your email address to communicate with you about your subscription, provide customer support, or inform you of important updates to the Extension.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell our users’ private personal information.

We share information about you in the limited circumstances spelled out below and with appropriate safeguards on your privacy:

• Third-Party Vendors: We share information with third-party vendors who need the information in order to provide their services to us. This includes **Stripe**, which processes your credit and debit card information for our Pro subscriptions. We do not store your payment information on our servers.
• Legal Requests: We may disclose information about you in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request.

4. Data Security

While no online service is 100% secure, we work very hard to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment provider.

5. GetFullPage

GetFullPage is a full-page screenshot extension from the same team. Captures, edits, and history stay on your computer. We do not upload screenshots or page content to our servers.

If you use the GetFullPage contact form on this website, we collect the name, email, and message you submit so we can reply. That mail is handled the same way as other support messages, at support@zenstack.space.
